Bunk Beds - $250 each buys a 3 tier bed. (Approx 11 bunks needed. As of now they all sleep on the floor. Some have mattresses.)
Second Bike - $500 (help transporting water/wood/sick children)

Starting cost of $180 per child sponsored to cover registration/uniforms/shoes and backpacks not included in the yearly cost of schooling. This is a one time fee. Each term there is a small fee for needed books ranging from $20-$40 depending on the level of school. Dont want to pay the extra fee? There are many children already registered that need a sponsor to cover term fees. Contact the orphanage today and help a child thrive!!
If a computer is available all children can receive home schooling for FREE!
Nursery aged children (3-6) $120/year - $20 extra per term for books and supplies
Primary aged children (7-13) $225/year -$30 extra per term for books and supplies
Secondary (14-20) $330/year -$40 extra per term for books and supplies
Clean drinking water is always difficult. Normally they need to find it like you see here. The orphage does have a rainwater collector but it only holds 2-3 days worth of water and still needs to be boiled. Even with boiling the water occasionally pathogens survive and someone gets sick. Typhoid is extreemly common.
We are trying to raise $4000 to have a borehole (water pump) dug to provide clean water. Please help towards this need!

Prayer Requests
Urgent prayer request. Government officials are threatening to remove older children and place in a holding facility the locals call childrens jail. This is because the children are not in school due to lack of funds. Please pray they will not be removed. The children will not receive education if they are removed. This is a scary place with limited care.

Denis and the older children are doing cleaning and gardening in the neighborhood to bring in funds. Please pray they not only find work, but that the people who hire them are honest and actually pay.
Denis is trying hard to bring in funds using Social Media. Please pray he finds followers and his likes and comments increase.
Safety, especially at night. Thieves have attacked the orphanage a couple times. Praise God the dogs chased them off.
The chickens to produce more eggs. Praise God now 3 hens are laying.
They are now trapping fish which is helping their food supply. Please pray God sends an abundance of fish. One trap was lost/stolen. Please pray another can be afforded soon. ($85)
They are trying to sell fish, and offer rat and fly trapping services to bring in funds. Please pray God sends them opportunities. Funds are very tight and it is important they find work.
Willingness of Church members to adopt some of the children. So far 3 have been adopted.
They are starting to try to grow more fruit trees. This will take a couple years to help but please pray the trees grow strong.
Agnes is going to start sewing clothes and reusable pads. Please pray they can market these items and begin to have a steady business.
Friends and family of Genesis Hearts Ministry: this is my story of life: My name is Musinguzi Denis, I am 23 years of age and I live in Uganda 🇺🇬 East Africa. When I was a boy I lost my father in 2016 and remained with my mother and younger sister Faith. After the death of my father the family members chased us away from the house hence ending up in the streets fighting for my life to get shelter, food, medication and education. Even though this all happened I didn’t loose hope and I found a man on the street preaching the Word of God and this softened my heart and mind to put my life in the almighty Lord’s hands, and I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior.
Being on the street as a child I faced many challenges, selling drugs, beating up people and stealing from them so that I could get money to feed myself, my mother and little sister . One day I was kidnapped by strangers who wanted to sell me. Trafficking children for slavery, sex trade and the black market for internal organs is very big here. Praise God I managed to escape! One of the men who had captured me felt led to let me go. He opened the sack i was being carried in, pointed into the darkness and told me to run that way. I followed in the direction he pointed praying and crying. Eventually i found a road and turned in a direction I thought was the villiage. God is good and I found my way home.
When I grew up I felt God was leading me to change the lives of street children so that they don’t go through what I went through growing up in a life filled with struggle and fear. I thought that I could help provide them a home to stay in, feed them, teach them the Word of the God, and could help change their lives as by Gods Grace mine was changed.
That is why I reach out to you, brothers and sisters, to help and support me towards making a difference in these children’s lives so that they get better and have brighter futures.
